FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Miami, Fla. – November 9, 2017 – Magic City Casino, Miami’s first casino to feature Las Vegas style slot machines, is proud to present multi-platinum recording artist 98° live in concert, on Saturday, December 9 (8 p.m.) from the Magic City Casino Amphitheater. The vocal quartet comprised of Nick Lachey, Drew Lachey, Jeff Timmons and Justin Jeffre who are known for their signature R&B-tinged, four-part harmonies, kick off their 31-city trek today, as part of their 98° at Christmas tour. A portion of the ticket sales for this show will benefit Susan G. Komen.
“We are thrilled to be a stop on 98°’s tour supporting their new album, Let It Snow. It’s a great way to kick off the holidays in South Florida,” said Scott Savin, Chief Operating Officer at Magic City Casino. “98° will hit a festive note with a high-energy show filled with your favorite holidays tunes, as well as their beloved hits.”
Let It Snow is the band’s first new album in four years and a follow-up 18 years in the making to the now classic and platinum certified album This Christmas. Let It Snow features 12 Christmas songs such as “Let It Snow,” “What Christmas Means to Me,” originally recorded by Stevie Wonder, “Little Saint Nick” and “Run Rudolph Run.” Each track was personally selected by each member of the band.
98° has sold more than 10 million records worldwide. The group’s album, 98° and Rising generated fan favorites, “Because of You,” “I Do (Cherish You)” and “The Hardest Thing.” The band’s follow up effort, Revelation, sold 2 million copies, peaked at number 2 on the Billboard 200 and yielded a trio of hits, “Give Me Just One Night (Una Noche),” “My Everything” and “The Way You Want Me To.” The group also collaborated on the chart-topping single, “Thank God I Found You,” with Mariah Carey and Joe, and their collective idol, Stevie Wonder, on “True to Your Heart,” for the 1998 animated Disney film, Mulan.
All four members have excelled in careers outside of music. Nick appeared on TV shows both as an actor (The WB’s Charmed and One Tree Hill) and a host (VH-1’s Big Morning Buzz Live). Drew was crowned winner on season two of Dancing With the Stars, been on Broadway, and both brothers opened Lachey’s Bar, a TV series on A&E which chronicles the brothers’ real-life experience opening a sports pub in Cincinatti. Timmons joined members of Backstreet Boys and ‘NSYNC for VH-1’s Mission Man Band and Nick Carter’s Sci-Fi feature, Dead Seven. Jeffre is involved in various media and cause-related projects stemming from his foray into politics as a mayoral candidate of Cincinnati.
